Robert Scott Garrison (January 23, 1960 - September 27, 2019) was an American actor who is best known for his role as Tommy in the first Karate Kid films and the second season of Cobra Kai. He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia. Garrison began his acting career in 1977, featured in films in the 80s and 90s. At age 59, Garrison was having kidney and liver issues and was held for treatment at a hospital in West Virginia, he was reported dead while at the hospital when his organs shut down. The season 3 episode Aftermath is dedicated to him in his memory.
